Team work in maths!

September27

In KS1 we love working as a team in maths using our practical resources to help us with our learning. Here are the Year 1s doing some number formation and using numicon to support their learning.
The Year 2 children are using dienes to learn about place value and addition!

Time capsules

September27

Since it is the very beginning of a new school year for us, we decided it would be nice to make some time capsules so that in July we can look back and see how much we have changed! We measured our hands and feet, painted self portraits and recorded our likes and dislikes. We have hung them in our class rooms to stay until the end of the year! We wonder how much we will grow and change…

Who’s been in our forest?

September27

Last week, we went into the forest to find that somebody had been there! We were all detectives and tried to work out who it could be using the clues left behind.  We found a broken chair, a tiny bowl, some black shoes, a shiny blue ribbon and some porridge oats! The children were great detectives and thought that Goldilocks had been there.  They did some excellent writing using adjectives.  Take a look at our photos!
